in islamabad for us. just how much back and fourth have we beenhaving? we thought she could be released, and then she wasn't. looks like reza is not hearing me. we will continue to work on getting him back up. let me go back. sarah shourd is her name. her along wit two friends have been held and were accused of being spies. we got word last week that there was a deal in place to allow her to have a conditional release, just t heard. we got that word late last week and we thought she was going to be released on saturday, and then iran came back and said things are not in place and the judicial pross has not played out, and now this morning there is word that she could be released if $500,000 in bail was paid. that's where we are now. now, new information whas been back to us, and now everything is in place for sarah shourd to be replaced as soon as the money is paid. $500,000. it's being called bail money, but once that is paid she would be released and go back to the united states, and that mney would be forfeited even if they did want to try her. but sh would be out of there. however,

this. we all knew that it would take more time than any of us want to dig ourselves out of this hole, created by this economic crisis. >> reporter: absolutely, jim. you know, speaking to different audiences as well. you saw there in milwaukee, labor day crowd, union folks, he was trying to rally the democratic base. get them enthusiastic about this midterm election. so far we have seen a lot more energy and enthusiasm on the republican side. on the other hand, you have republican and independent voters who have expressed a lot of concern about all of the federal spending here in washington. as you add up that tab, to $350 billion, in new programs, bottom line is that there's not going to be a second stimulus plan. they know that's fraught with all kinds of political danger. number one. people concerned about spending. number two, the fact that the first stimulus is a political dirty word now. very controversial. republicans have said it didn't work. democrats say it worked. maybe not as quickly as some wanted. bottom line, they don't want to call eight second stimulus. when you add t

. it's quite obvious it's not just the islamic world that is concerned about this. theç u.s. military leaders are concerned enough they have raised the ante by speaking about it, pulling off the effort here by addressing it. their concerns is when the korans are burned it may cause americans in uniform danger in other parts of the world. the burning of the koran is a catalyst to starting more unprovoked violence again americans in uniform. i asked the pastor here about that. what would he think, if he burned these korans and an american was targeted. this is what he had to say. >> yeah, of course. we would feel terrible. that would be a disaster. that would be beyond words. but we are not responsible for that. why don't we point the finger where it belongs. they point the finger at us. why don't we point the finger at them, the people who did it. >> will he burn the korans, that's the big question. i asked him that. he did say this was a message from god for him to burn them. perhaps he'll get another message from his god telling him not to burn them. then, of course, there's the city
